Turn your old into new

Hey everyone,

I've had this bedside table since I was around 7 years old! From a home ware's prospective, we all know that wood has been out for a while now and white is in. So I thought if I'm going to keep this piece of furniture, it was definately in need of a make over!

Before the makeover

I sanded it lightly and gave it two coats of white paint. The paint I used was left over from the house. It had a slight glossy finish to it which was really nice.

Just painting it white was not enough for me. It needed something more for the whole job to be worth doing. This was boring, it needed to be pretty.

I remembered some fabric I saw in spotlight that was going to be perfect to cover the sides and draws with.

The fabric was stuck on with a hot glue gun.

I have had this while fur material lying around for about a year. Now I've finally found a use for most of it. It is sooooo soft and beautiful! Such a shame it won't be seen once I fill up the drawers haha. I guess it'll be an incentive not to fill them up with crap though.

I am very happy with my latest creation. I hope that I've inspired you! Let me know if you do a post on something similar. I would loooooove to see!
